Fury Makes Everything Better

What to pick when Dad says you can have a car: 1969 Plymouth Fury.

Kid wants to swap in a 440 [Ed.: with an 8 Barrel carb, no doubt]; Dad thinks a 383 is more likely. The Dad was definitely familiar with using the gas gauge instead of the speedometer or odometer.

The seat cover totally spoils the "slide your date over" effect of a viynl bench seat.

There's a clock where the ashtray is supposed to be.

Yep, 318.

I wonder if the bead is "broken." Let me drive it to Paw Paw to find out.

  2. Wow, never thought I'd see my car on a blog! The seat cover is there because there's not much vinyl left on the bench seat. The ugly green seat cover has been replaced with a nicer condition black one. The interior now looks nicer with better condition black door panels and some black plastic interior panels. The reverse light cover that is missing has been replaced too. Interesting fact: the driver's side window is down because it fell into the door (That problem has been fixed by now). Now I just need to fix the rest of the car, starting with the remainder of the interior! Thanks for taking the time to write about my Fury!

    1. we're big fans of Fury. We're kinda suckers for a tasty 1973, but tomato, tomahto. Come visit us on http://kissmyasphalt.com. We sold out.
